The HTNA has several standing committees who administer or advice the membership on specific items. These include:
• Nurse Training Committee
This committee advises on, and reviews, Hyperbaric Nursing training across a network of clinical hyperbaric facilities. The committee systematically reviews training packages submitted from clinical facilities who wish to attain HTNA endorsement. The review process ensures Hyperbaric Nurses are trained to a level equal to or surpassing the requirements of the Australian Standard on clinical hyperbaric facilities (AS/NZS 4774.2).
• Technical Training Committee
This committee advises on and reviews, qualifications and training requirements for Hyperbaric Chamber Supervisors, Chamber Operators, and Monoplace Chamber Operators. It maintains industry oversight to gauge changes within training programs which may affect hospital based chamber operations and management. The Committee also consults on qualifications, experience, and training, to ensure a level of competency equal to or surpassing the requirements and intent, of the Australian Standard on clinical hyperbaric facilities (AS/NZS 4774.2).
